Studio

Office of May is a small building design studio focused on prefabricated and hybrid construction. We started in 2024 with a straightforward goal: to build better buildings, faster and with less waste, without sacrificing design quality.

The team is deliberately small and deliberately good.

CEO

Georgia Mactaggart

Founder + Principal

Georgia studied fine art (sculpture and oil painting) before turning to architecture. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture with Distinction from RMIT, graduating in the top 2% and receiving the Vice Chancellor's Award and the Golden Key International Honour Society Award for Academic Achievement, and a Master of Architecture from Bond University. During her studies she worked at a design studio in Barcelona and went on to work across leading architecture studios in Sydney.

She founded Office of May in 2024, focused on prefabricated and modular construction across residential, hotel, and commercial projects in Queensland and regional Australia. Her work is guided by a belief that good design and efficient delivery are not in conflict.

Georgia is a QBCC Licensed Building Designer (Open), Licence No. 15573599.

Architect

Millie Youngman

Experienced Graduate of Architecture

Millie is a thoughtful and detail-oriented designer who approaches each project with both rigour and curiosity. Collaborative by nature, she values clear design communication and enjoys working closely with consultants, clients and project teams to achieve cohesive, well-resolved outcomes.

Millie joined Office of May after completing her Master of Architecture at the University of Sydney. During her studies, she undertook an international exchange at the Politecnico di Milano, graduating with a high distinction average and gaining a broader perspective on European design thinking and urbanism.

Her four years at Fender Katsalidis span multi-residential, commercial and large-scale urban master planning projects, where she worked closely with senior partners and leading industry figures. Here, she was recognised with the Cantilever Award for excellence and outstanding performance. This experience has equipped her with a refined design sensibility grounded in quality, detail and precision.
